1 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate)
1 C powdered sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C (1 stick) unsalted butter, cubed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Combine butter, brown sugar, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir constantly until butter is melted and brown sugar is totally dissolved.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let cool to room temperature.
In a large bowl or mixer, cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar, until light and fluffy. About 3 minutes.
Once butter mixture has cooled to room temperature, reduce speed of mixer and gradually beat it into cream cheese mixture. Mix for 2 minutes.
Fold in chocolate chips and transfer cookie dough dip to a serving bowl.
Serve immediately, or store in an air-tight container.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
