6 C tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 C quick-cooking oats
1/3 C brown sugar, packed
1/4 C all-purpose flour
1/2 C cold butter
1/2 C chopped nuts, optional
Mix apples in a bowl with cinnamon, thoroughly coating each slice.
Spray crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Place apples in the bottom.
Combine brown sugar, flour, and oats in a bowl.
Cut butter into small pieces. Add to brown sugar mixture. Stir to combine until crumbles form.
Add nuts, if using.
Sprinkle over apples.
Cook on low for 3 hours, or until apples are tender.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip topping.
