Dark's Kitchen
Serves 5-6

4-4 1/2 lbs pork shoulder, cut in half, if necessary
2 yellow onions
1 1/2 Tbsp paprika
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp kosher salt, or to taste
2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 can Dr. Pepper
1/2 C BBQ sauce, or to taste


Combine paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cinnamon, in a bowl. Mix Well.

Rub pork shoulder with spice mixture.

Peel and slice onions. Place into crock pot.

Place pork shoulder on top of onions.

Pour Dr. Pepper over your pork and onions.

Cook on low for 7 hours.

Shred pork with a fork.

Cook for an additional 30 minutes.

Add additional barbecue sauce if desired.

Serve over hamburger buns.
