1 C almond butter, peanut butter, or sunflower seed butter
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 C coconut oil
1/4 C apple sauce
1/3 C maple syrup
2/3 C unsweetened almond milk
1/4 C chocolate chips
3 C quick-cooking oats


In a medium sauce pan, mix almond, peanut, or sunflower butter, cocoa, coconut oil,
apple sauce, maple syrup, and almond milk.

Bring mixture to a gentle boil, stirring frequently.

Boil for two minutes, stirring almost constantly.

Reduce heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until melted.

Remove from heat and stir in oats.

Drop rounded Tbsp onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

Using a fork, spoon, or your hand, press the dough into a semi-flattened cookie shape.

Place in freezer for 15 minutes, to allow cookies to firm.

Keep refrigerated.
