10-12 ice cream sandwiches, rectangle, not round
1 quart ice cream, of your choice, softened
1 pkg Oreo cookies, crushed
1 16 oz. container whipped topping
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Place a layer of ice cream sandwiches in the bottom of baking dish, cutting ice cream bars as needed.
Spread 1/2 of ice cream over sandwiches.
Sprinkle 1/2 Oreos over ice cream.
Pour a thin layer of chocolate and/or caramel sauce over Oreos.
Top with another layer of ice cream sandwiches, ice cream, and chocolate/caramel sauce.
Freeze for 1-2 hours, or until ice cream sets.
Remove from baking dish and invert onto serving platter.
Frost cake on all sides with whipped topping.
Make alternating lines of chocolate and caramel sauce across top of cake.
Use a knife or toothpick to drag through sauces creating a marbled look.
Serve immediately, or freeze until ready to serve.
