Dark's Kitchen

1 Tbsp vegetable oil
3/4 lb flat iron steak
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 C onion, diced
1 C green bell pepper, diced
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 C mayonnaise
4 oz. shredded sharp provolone cheese, plus extra for the top

Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the oil. Add steak.

Season with salt and pepper.

Sear for 4-5 minutes on the first side, or until it has browned.

Flip the steak over and cook another 4-5 minutes on the second side.

Remove from pan and let rest 5-10 minutes before cutting.

Sauté onion and bell pepper until tender.

Cut the steak, against the grain, into thin slices, then dice the steak slices.

In a medium baking dish, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, and provolone.

Stir in steak and onion mixture.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese starts to brown.
