Dark's Kitchen
Serves 2-4

1/2 C (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 C heavy cream
2 C grated Parmesan cheese
1 medium tomato, diced, optional
1 12 oz. pkg frozen tortellini
1/8 tsp nutmeg
salt and pepper, to taste


Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta according to package directions.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan, over low heat.

Add heavy cream. Stir constantly until heated through.

Remove from heat.

Add parmesan cheese, reserving 1/4 C for garnish.

Add nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.

Remove pasta from water and drain.

Top with alfredo sauce, diced tomatoes, if using, and extra parmesan cheese.
